Inaugural Edition — “Celebrating Innovation, Advancing Genomics, Transforming Lives”
India's first dedicated national recognition platform for genomics, multiomics, and precision health innovation, the CII Excellence Awards 2026 identify, celebrate, and accelerate breakthrough contributions across human health, agriculture, animal sciences, industrial biotechnology, and digital biology. The inaugural edition arrives at a defining moment for India's genomics ecosystem, as national initiatives such as the Genome India Project, the National Biobank, and the BioE3 Policy lay the foundation for a globally competitive, India-specific precision medicine and bioeconomy landscape.
Spanning ten thematic categories and six Special Jury Awards, the platform brings together researchers, clinicians, startups, industry leaders, and public institutions driving India's genomics revolution. Anchored in a rigorous, structured evaluation framework covering scientific merit, impact, scalability, and ecosystem contribution, the Awards go beyond recognition — offering participants expert feedback, national visibility, and continued access to CII's wider genomics and biotechnology ecosystem, including the CII National Task Force on Genomics.
