Background
- The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the CII India Innovation Mission to Denmark & Sweden 2026 from 12–16 October 2026, with the objective of strengthening international collaboration, fostering technology partnerships, and promoting strategic engagements in the areas of robotics and automation, advanced manufacturing, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, research and development, innovation, and sustainability.
- The mission will bring together Indian industry leaders, technology companies, startups, innovators, research institutions, academia, and key stakeholders for high-level interactions with leading government institutions, industry associations, technology companies, universities, research organisations, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders in Denmark and Sweden.
- In Denmark, the programme will focus on strengthening cooperation in robotics, automation, advanced manufacturing, digital technologies, innovation, and sustainable industrial development. The delegation will engage with leading institutions and organisations including the Embassy of India in Copenhagen, Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), Invest in Denmark, Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, as well as prominent companies, research institutions, universities, and innovation hubs.
- In Sweden, the programme will focus on advancing collaboration in artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, engineering technologies, digitalisation, research and development, and innovation-led industrial growth. The delegation will participate in the India–Sweden Innovation Day 2026 and engage with leading Swedish companies, universities, research organisations, government agencies, and industry bodies across the technology, manufacturing, telecom, engineering, and innovation ecosystems.
- The mission will facilitate B2B and B2G engagements, institutional and industry visits, roundtable discussions, technology showcases, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities, enabling Indian and European stakeholders to explore opportunities for technology partnerships, joint R&D, investment, market access, innovation collaboration, and industrial cooperation.
- The CII India Innovation Mission 2026 will serve as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, technology collaboration, and business networking, strengthening India's engagement with the Nordic innovation ecosystem and creating new avenues for India–Denmark and India–Sweden cooperation in emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, and innovation-driven growth.
